Janie Bradford Hobbs, the pioneering Motown songwriter who helped create some of the record label's earliest hits, has died at the age of 87.
Bradford died on August 21, 2026, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles following an extended illness, according to her family. Her death was announced on August 22.
